No special tools are needed for the installation of Ramp Armor®. However, we do make certain recommendations for the installation.
Ramp Armor® sheets should not be butted up against each other. Although Ramp Armor® has a small expansion and contraction rate the sub-layers expand at different rates. Due to this expansion we recommend leaving a space of approximately the width of a nickel or a #8 screw in between the sheets.
All sheets should be fastened with 2-½” Titanic Ramp Anchors or 2” #12 sheet metal screws. All screws need to be anchored into a corresponding beam. (Simply screwing the sheet to the other layers will not hold).
Ramp Armor® does not need to be installed in a diagonal pattern.
